About Avery's
A Tradition Since 1904
Avery’s has been crafting small-batch soda in New Britain, Connecticut since the summer of 1904, when Sherman F. Avery began making soda in a red barn on Corbin Avenue.
From the very beginning, Avery’s became known for its wide variety of flavors—especially classics like Cream Soda, Birch Beer, and Root Beer. In those early days, soda was delivered by horse-drawn wagon to homes and local stores, long before the first delivery truck hit the road in 1914.
More than a century later, that same commitment to quality and old-fashioned service remains at the heart of everything we do.

🥤 Still Made the Old-Fashioned Way
Our sodas are handcrafted in small batches using time-honored recipes passed down through generations. We use real cane sugar and high-quality ingredients, and every bottle is packaged in glass to preserve that crisp, classic taste Avery’s is known for.
From timeless favorites to our wildly popular Totally Gross line, we continue to make soda that’s meant to be enjoyed, shared, and remembered.

✨ A New Chapter
In July 2025, Connecticut native Patrick Moore acquired Avery’s Beverages with one goal: to preserve and grow a brand he grew up loving.
Patrick is also the owner of Hilltop Apiaries in Simsbury, CT, and had previously collaborated with Avery’s on honey-infused sodas—bringing a natural, locally sourced sweetness to a new line of flavors.
Today, Avery’s continues to evolve while staying true to its roots—blending tradition with creativity in every bottle.
